Melee Fight Gear For Fighters, Fans, and Friends of MMA
In 2006, the founder of Melee Fight Gear began training at the renowned Legends Training Center in Hollywood, California. Melee was formed out of the MMA and Jiu-Jitsu community at the gym and was inspired by the presence of superstars like Bas Rutten, Randy Couture and Eddie Bravo.
As friends climbed the ranks of the 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu system, the Melee team began designing ranked no-gi shorts that would mirror traditional belts. With the input of fighters, grapplers, and friends, the Melee ranked no-gi shorts were born. From there came a catalogue of quality fight shorts featuring the Melee dual split-seam design.
A line of everyday sports apparel was a natural progression from short production. Melee took the principle of using quality fabrics and an eye toward modern graphic design to make real clothes for real people. "We wanted to make clothes that we would wear," says Melee Founder Steven Moreno. "We wanted to represent the sport without looking like gangsters or pirates." Melee continues to serve fighters, fans, and friends of MMA and hopes that you will find our equipment and apparel of exceptional quality and design. We hope to play a part in the evolution of mixed martial arts and in the evolution of it's incredible fan base and invite you to grow along with us. Thank you for your patronage and, of course, your feedback is always welcome.
Sincerely, Melee Fight Gear |
